CHIANTI D.O.C.G.
(Tuscany, Italy)
CASTELLANI, it could be said, is Chianti. Now the largest producer of DOCG Chianti wines, Castellani accounts for over 11% of total Chianti production. So its no surprise that Castellani can deliver such exceptional quality in an affordable Chianti.
Castellani has extensive proprietary vineyard holdings. These coupled with strong long-term contracts with respected growers who are willing to work closely with the companys viticultural and winemaking teams, provides an unmatched strength, and the ability to deliver to market these delicious and wonderfully traditional wines.
The production team is comprised of Piergiorgio Castellani Jr., winemaker Sabino Russo, respected veteran Tuscan viticulturist Federico Comassi and top consulting enologist Franco Bernabei. Together, utilizing Castellanis unmatched resources, and their large, modern Fattoria di Travalda production facility near historic Pisa, they craft the tremendous value these wines represent.
For 100 years, the Castellani family has built a successful global business based on exporting Tuscan wine. Castellani is now sold around the globe in 43 countries, Biagio Cru is proud to represent this Tuscan powerhouse to the US market.
Youll find no truer example of Chiantis classic Sangiovese-based flavors and textures. Having celebrated their centennial in 2003, Castellani is 100 years young, built on a foundation that blends tradition and state of the art winemaking. Castellani is poised to become the next great name in Italian wine.

CASTELLANI CHIANTI D.O.C.G.
Textbook Chianti with vibrant, classic Sangiovese aromas and flavors of dry, tart cherries. Intriguing anise, smoke and leather accents add to the appeal of this deeply-flavored but not heavy wine. Fine, even tannins on the long finish make this a superb dinner choice for any classic Italian dish, yet its light enough to drink on its own or with appetizers.
